Charles Don Myers

Aiken – Mr. Charles Donald Myers, 86 entered into rest on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Pepper Hill Nursing Center. Mr. Myers was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Myers was born in Columbia, PA, a son of the late Jacob and Violet Moore Myers. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad before moving to Aiken in 1985. He is survived by his son Donald Myers, PA; grandson Jason Myers; great grandchildren, Jacob and Katelyn Myers, PA; two sisters, Martha Gerfin, Camp Hill, PA; Joann (Stan) Goodman , Aiken, SC; stepson Ronald (Pam) Gregg , Lexington, SC; stepdaughters, Patsy (Phillip) Brinson , Augusta Ga; Betty Sue (Steve) Hendrick , Lexington, SC; niece, Holly (Ross) Jackson , Aiken, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Bish Myers; second wife, Margie Castleberry Myers; sister, Kate Suy Dam and brother Robert Myers. A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2009 at 4:00pm at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. in Aiken. Chaplain Larry Hutto will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
