Gloria Alice Rohde Blanke

AIKEN – Mrs. Gloria Alice Rohde Blanke, 79, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Reverend Jeff Erbskorn will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Gloria was born in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Elmer Rohde and Rose Goettsche Rohde Anderson. She had lived in Aiken for the last 9 years, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was active in the church choir. Mrs. Blanke was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter AP. Gloria loved to travel abroad with her family and lived her life in Chicago, New York, Ohio, Connecticut, Florida, and Japan. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Blanke; a daughter, Barbara E. Blanke, Canton, GA; a son, Dr. David P. (Janet) Blanke, Corpus Christi, TX; two grandchildren, Alexander Blanke and Benjamin Blanke.
