AIKEN, SC – GEORGE NICHOLS DeLOACHE, 93, husband of the late Eugenia Joiner DeLoache, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at Anchor Health and Rehab.
A native of Lumber City, GA. George was a son of the late Charles Clifford and Mildred Pearson DeLoache. He proudly served his country as a B-24 Pilot in the Army and Army Air Force during World War II. George and Gina moved to Aiken in 1952, He was employed by DuPont as chemical engineer at the Savannah River Plant. They were members of First Presbyterian Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia Joiner and his brothers, Charles DeLoach of Las Vegas, NV, and Pearson DeLoach of Savannah, Ga. Survivors include his five children, Theresa DeLoache, Aiken, Nicole DeLoache, Augusta, GA, Carolyn DeLoache, Gainesville, FL, Barry DeLoache (Brenda), Aiken, Kyle DeLoache, San Francisco, CA; seven grandchildren, Ivan Eubanks (Saskia), Elisabeth Eubanks, Gina Eubanks, Phillip Robertson, Portia DeLoache, Nicholas DeLoach, Simon DeLoache; five great-grandchildren, Saxon Elyaman, Aimee Collazo, Leonardo Romano, Evan Eubanks, Pearson Eubanks.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 17th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the funeral home, followed by interment with military honors at Southlawn Cemetery.
