Mary Barnes

AIKEN, SC – MARY MUNZ BARNES, 86, beloved wife of Burr Traywick “B. T.” Barnes, Jr., died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Milwaukee, WI, Mary was a daughter of the late Arthur John and Olga Fanslau Munz, Sr. She lived in Aiken since 1952 and was a homemaker. Mary was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir and was a life member of Lutheran Church Women. She was a life member of American Legion Post 26 Ladies Auxilliary. She was a long-time volunteer at Pepper Hill Nursing. Surviving in addition to her husband B. T. is a nephew, Curtis Barnes, Gainesville, FL. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, June 18th at 2 o’clock at St. Paul Lutheran Church with The Rev. Jeff Erbskorn officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
