Patsy Clara Slade Ergle

AIKEN - Patsy C. Ergle 82, went to be with her Heavenly Father and her loving husband of 57 years Clyde M. Ergle on June 19, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John & Marie Slade. Patsy was born in Bluefield; Va. and lived in Aiken with her family since 1975. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Patsy, also known as "Grandma" to a lot of people, loved her church, fishing, camping, gardening and canning. She was always making cloth books and blankets for family members. Patsy is survived by her children; Martha (Byron) Haynes, Clara E. Hall, Janice M. Ergle, Marion (Janet) Ergle. Grandchildren; Kristy Hall, David Merriett, Clyde (Jerri Lynn) Ergle II, Robert (Dana) Ergle, Patsy (Marty) Lesperance, Sean (Nell) Haynes and Candi Padgett; 16 Great grand children; siblings, Cecil Slade, Peggy (Glen) Ergle, Lois Timmons, Dixie Mix and Donald (Jeanette) Slade. Mrs. Ergle was preceded in death by siblings, Lorena Bledsoe, Eugene Slade, and a Grand child Rachel Haynes. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church at 11am Wednesday, June 22, 2016. The Reverend Brancie Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Merriett, Clyde Ergle II, Robert Ergle, Mike Hayslip, Lee Benson and John Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Ergle's Faith Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Bethel Baptist Church, P. O. Box 2168, Aiken, SC 29802.
