Melvin Gerard Sheppers

AIKEN, SC – MELVIN GERARD SHEPPERS, 66, beloved husband of Katherine Rivet Sheppers, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his residence. A native of New Orleans, LA, Melvin was a son of the late Joseph Theodore and Alice Georgiana Viosca Sheppers. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, Loyola University and earned his master’s degree from the University of Alabama- Birmingham. He retired from BellSouth and Accenture. Melvin lived in Aiken since 2013. Survivors include his wife, Katherine and three nieces, Deborah S. Durkis, Sheryl Ann Eddie and beth Alyson Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Sheppers. A memorial service will be held at Schoens Funeral Home, Canal St., New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
