WARRENVILLE, SC - Mason Bentlee Bryan was called to Heaven on June 24, 2016 after spending a few days in the hospital for brain trauma. Mason, also known as Mase, Hammies, Ham Sauce, and Mater Boy, was only four years old. Even though Mason’s life on Earth was not very long, the quality of his life far exceeded the quantity.
Mason was born on September 12, 2011 in Aiken, SC. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Leigh Bryan, baby brother, Wyatt Mathew Roberson and his maternal grandparents, Charles and June Bryan of Aiken.
For those lucky enough to know him, Mason was a sweetheart; full of life and an energy that could brighten anyone’s day. He was born with autism which made it difficult for him to communicate, however he figured out how to convey his thoughts and feelings and show how big his heart was. Mason enjoyed jumping off the furniture and learning new words on his tablet and Leap Frog. He loved to snuggle his Mickey Mouse and Mommy and watch Thomas the Train, The Lion King, and Cars. He especially loved playing Lion Guard with his little brother, Wyatt, and spending time at his grandparents’ house playing with his cousin Shadow.
While Mason’s life was too short, we remind everyone to celebrate his life. Although he will be fiercely missed, especially his sweet kisses, Mason Bentlee will forever be in our hearts.
“Goodnight, my angel,
Now it’s time to sleep
And still so many things I want to say
Remember all the songs you sang for me
When we went sailing on an emerald bay
And like a boat out on an ocean
I’m rocking you to sleep
The water’s dark inside this ancient heart
You’ll always be a part of me”
--Billie Joel, “Lullaby”
