The State Board sets criteria for licensure of stylists, salons and schools of cosmetology. NIC has established an annual scholarship in Aurie Gosnell's name for Cosmetology students. She was inducted into the National Cosmetology Hall of Fame as well as the S. C. Cosmetology Hall of fame.
