Jerry Ronald Rutland

WAXHAW, NC - Mr. Jerry Ronald Rutland, 73, passed from his worldly life to live with his Heavenly Father on June 29, 2009. He was the son of the late Blanche King and Abram Jamelle Rutland. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Frances Dyer Rutland; daughters, Kimberly Jane (James) McManus, Nancy Lee (Scott) Kennedy; son William J. (Laren) Rutland; sister Jane Fulmer; grandchildren, Nancy, Patrick and Shanleigh McManus, Levi and Savanna Kennedy, and Cade and Kyle Rutland. Jerry had a career as an Aircraft Structure Engineer for Lockheed Martin and later McDonald Douglas. He was an alumnus of the University of South Carolina and a member of the Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, Waxhaw, NC. He recently moved from Richmond Hill, GA to Waxhaw, NC. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery, Johnston. Reverend Rick Carter will officiate.
