John Aulston Brown

AIKEN – Mr. John Aulston Brown, 75, loving husband of Sharon Elaine Brown, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy Gregory officiating.  The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Mr. Brown was born in Suffolk, VA to the late James Talton and Susan Rebecca Ridgell Brown.  He spent his career being a Foreman for McLean Construction Company for 25 years. A tragic on the job accident led him to his second career as a small engine repairman in his local business of Brown's Lawnmower Repair for over 30 years.  In addition to his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by his son, John Brown, Jr., of Aiken his daughter, Cathy Cumbee, (Mark) of Aiken. Granddaughters, Tiffany Morris (Lindy) of Aiken Cassie Carson (Matthew) of Orangeburg, Grandsons, Anthony Rienzo and Cameron Cumbee of Aiken. Three great grandchildren, Sophia Carson, Carson Rienzo, and Adalind Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Susan Brown. Six sisters, Margaret, Peggy, Lois, Lila, Dora, and Janice.
