AIKEN - Mrs. Betty Jean Carter, 87, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016.Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 at Southlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Crittenden officiating. Mrs. Carter was born in Burdine, KY to the late Harry and Lucy Blizzard Crandell. She was a homemaker for her family. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Hubbs, (Alan) Crittenden, Aiken; a son, Forrest Gale (Janet) Hubbs, Aiken; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewist G. Carter and two sons, Harold Hubbs and Daryel Hubbs.
