AIKEN, SC – DAVID WAYNE PARKER, 42, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at his residence in Aiken. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He was a son of Dianne Poston Parker and the late William Randall Parker. He was a graduate of Aiken High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Wayne worked as a conductor with CSX Railroad, and was a former officer with the Aiken Department of Public Safety. He was a member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge # 156, Jamil Temple and Demolay. Survivors include his mother Dianne and his maternal grandmother, Polly Poston of Aiken. A memorial service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC, with Rev. Bo Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
