Robert Herron

AIKEN, SC – ROBERT HERRON, 88, beloved husband of Barbara McGhee Herron, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Caryville, TN, Robert was a son of the late Jack and Sinda Parks Herron.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.  Robert was the former owner and operator of Herron Texaco in Oak Ridge TN, retiring in 1986.  He moved to Aiken in 2008 and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife Barbara, include his daughter, Jeannie Aiken (Doug) of Aiken; two grandchildren, Jennifer Aiken of Aiken, Michael Aiken (Nicole) of Summerville, SC; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Riley Aiken. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock in Southlawn Cemetery with The Rev. Dr. Chris Masters officiating.
