Patsy Simmons

AIKEN – Ms. Patsy Jean Pippin Simmons, 69, died Sunday, January 29, 2017. Patsy was born in Alexandria, VA, a daughter of the late Ralph Allen Pippin and Irene Maddox Puckett.  She had been a resident of Aiken since 1997, was a carpenter, and member of Pineview Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved quilting, gardening, and her cats and dogs. Survivors include her daughter, Valerie (Jeff) Fortescue, Gambrills, MD; sons, Steven (Heather) Roland, Winchester, VA, John (Virginia) Kirk, Aiken; grandchildren, Colleen Jones, Michael Jones, Renee Roland, Ryan Fortescue, Chase Fortescue, Justin Kirk, Mazie Francisco, Anabelle Lee; great grandchild, Aiden Wucher; sisters, Dot Clabough, Gatlinburg, TN, Betty Puckett, Aiken, Debbie Nichols, Evans, GA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Jones; brothers, James Puckett, Butch Pippin. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2017 at Pineview Baptist Church, 2424 Williston Rd., New Ellenton, SC 29809, with Reverend William Eaves officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aiken SPCA, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC 298701.
