Morris L. "Gus" Hadden

NEW ELLENTON, SC – MORRIS L. “GUS” HADDEN, 87, of New Ellenton, SC, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, GA. A native of Avera, GA, Gus was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Bertha Clyde Newsome Hadden. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II, and was retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. Survivors include a daughter, Carol H. Posey, Aiken, two sons, M. L. (Bonnie) Hadden, Avera, GA and Sam (Andrea) Hadden, New Ellenton, five grandchildren, Brady Hadden, James Posey, Alex Posey, Brenna Hadden and Shaina Hadden, a great-grandson, Harley Hadden, a sister, Elsie Milburn, Gibson, GA and a brother, Thomas J. “Bud” (Agnes) Hadden, Avera, GA. Funeral services will be held from the graveside in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, New Ellenton on Wednesday, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Robert Jackson officiating.
