Lou Ellen "Nelle" Willing McGee

AIKEN – Mrs. Lou Ellen “ Nelle “ Willing McGee, 99, wife of 51 years to the late Carl A McGee, entered into rest February 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Aiken’s First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. Interment will be private. Mrs. McGee was the daughter of the late A. G. & Lois Satcher Willing, she was born on May 18, 1917 in Aiken County and graduated Johnston High School. Nelle and Carl owned and operated Holley Tractor Company for over 50 years where she served as bookkeeper until it was sold. She retired to the family farm and continued serving friends and families with her talents. Homemaker, seamstress, cook, gardener, pickle and jam maker and crochet extraordinaire evidence abounds. Many homes contain examples of her work. Survivors are a daughter Patricia “ Pat “ Helms and a son Carl A. “Butch” (Denise) McGee and many nieces and nephews.
