Billy Wayne Cope

COLUMBIA, SC – Rev. Billy Wayne Cope, 53, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017. Billy was born in Chester, SC to the late William Monroe and Shirley Dean Bundy Cope. He preached in Lee Correctional Institute, taught Hebrew and served as a hospice minister. Billy will be remembered for his love of helping others. He is survived by a sister, Susan Cope Archie, Edgemoore, SC and a brother, Michael Eugene Cope, Sr., Gray Court, SC. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Davis Cope and daughter, Amanda Cope. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Trinity Church of The Nazarene, 436 Taylors Creek Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Oveda Archie. Private interment will be held in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Trinity Church of The Nazarene Building Fund.
