Richard Durwood Chapman

WINDSOR, SC – Mr. Richard Durwood Chapman, 69, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at his home surrounded by family. Richard was a lifelong resident of Windsor, son of the late R​alph D.​ Chapman and Ethleen Nu​nn Chapman Padgett​.  He was a retired​ diesel​mechanic, and member of Windsor Baptist Church. He loved Nascar especially Dale Earnhardt​ (2/18/2001)​ He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Cameron ​ aka Chad​) Johnson, Aiken, Tracy (Bryan) Kneece, ​Graniteville; son, Ralph (Jennifer) Chapman, N. Augusta; ​eight​ grandchildren, Cayden Bonner,  ​Bryson Bonner, Annsley Bonner, Clayton Johnson, Cody Kneece, Casey Kneece, Ethan Chapman, Faith Chapman; two nephews, Christopher Beard and Timmy Beard; ​a niece Karen (Marty) Bell, Aiken; ​a sister, Roma Jean (Jimmy) Hewitt, Graniteville; special friends Faye Hatcher and David William Golding. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home chapel.  Interment will follow in the Windsor Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Davis, Paul Scott, Eugene St​r​a​wbridge, Don McGee, John​ny Kitchings,​Cameron Johnson.
