Lilly H Bezanson

AIKEN, SC – LILLY H. BEZANSON, 80, beloved wife of William E. “Bill” Bezanson, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Quincy, MA, Lilly was a daughter of the late Peter Ross and Lilly D. S. Holm Knowles.  She grew up in Braintree, MA where she was a former Rainbow Girl.  She retired from Union Gear in Quincy, MA.  She was a former member of Quincy Point Congregational Church.  Lilly and Bill moved to Aiken in 1990.  Lilly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids which included watching her favorite sports teams (Patriots and the Red Sox). She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to various destinations which included Aruba every year for their anniversary.   Survivors, in addition to her husband Bill, include a daughter, Tyna Diggin (Matthew); a son, Mark William Bezanson, all of Aiken; six grandchildren, Mark Edward Bezanson, Andrew Ross Bezanson (Heather), Shannon Diggin, Patrick Diggin, Matthew Diggin, Rebecca Diggin; three great-grandchildren, Griffin and Avery Bezanson, Keegan Molinich; a brother, Peter R. Knowles (Elaine), Kingston, MA. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, April 4th from 4 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Chennault officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mark Bezanson, Matthew Diggin, Andrew Bezanson, Mark Edward Bezanson, Patrick Diggin and Mattie Diggin.
