AIKEN - Mr. Frank Grubbs Sandifer, 71, died Sunday, October 25, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Eddie Leopard and the Reverend Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 PM in the Ghents Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Denmark, SC. Pallbearers will be Kevin Hutto, Darin Hutto, Joey Lee Willis, Houston Brown, Mike Fox, Jim Caldwell, Dewayne Feldman, Spencer Sandifer and Nickolas Sandifer. Honorary pallbearers will be the Truthseekers Sunday School Class and Mr. Sandifer's nephews. Mr. Sandifer was born in Bamberg County, SC, a son of the late Otis Leroy and Ineeda Grubbs Sandifer. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from the Army National Guard as Sergeant First Class. He also retired from SCE&G as a Transmission Line Supervisor. He enjoyed spending time on the Edisto River, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife, Faye Hutto Sandifer; daughter Lisa (Scotty) Beasley, Aiken; son, Keith (Carla) Sandifer, Aiken; grandchildren, Spencer and Nickolas Sandifer; special mother-in-law, Margaret Hutto, Denmark; special brother in law, Jimmy (Libby) Hutto, Denmark; sisters, Betty Wetzel, Bamberg, Kitty McCormick, Blackville, SC, June (Larry) Atterholt, Tipp City, OH, Linda (Joe) Collins, Barnwell, SC, Patty (Kendall) McCormack, St. Matthews, SC; sister in law, Lavonda Sandifer, Aiken; brothers, Rev. William (Ginny) Sandifer, Rhett (Betty Lee) Sandifer, Jack (Jeanette) Sandifer, Phil (Jackie) Sandifer, all of Blackville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Otis Leroy Sandifer, Jr., and Hammond M. Sandifer.
