Wyman Lester Powell

AIKEN, SC - Mr. Wyman Lester Powell, 69, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Marion Britton officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and also following the service. Mr. Powell was born in Aiken, a son of the late Frank Russell and Eunice Stewart Powell. He was the owner of the Aiken RV Park, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Lydia Marie (David) Weathersbee, Jackson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Marshall (Barbara) Powell, W. Lafayette, IN; a special friend, Millie Griffin, and two step children; four step grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren from a previous marriage.
