Katie Reynolds Greene

NEW ELLENTON, SC – KATIE HUMPHRIES REYNOLDS GREENE, 78, beloved wife of Carl C. Green, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Gaffney, SC, Mrs. Greene was a daughter of the late Oris and Sue Phillips Humphries. She had lived in New Ellenton since 1953 and was a former member of the New Ellenton Town Council. Katie was first married to the late E. Dean Reynolds. She was a retired purchasing agent at Glaxo-Smith Kline and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, where she served for many years as the recording secretary. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Carl, include two sons, Ronald D Reynolds, Sr., New Ellenton and J. Mark Greene, New Ellenton, a daughter, Linda Greene (Tom) Pipkin, Tennessee, three grandchildren; Sydelle (Kevin) Young, New Ellenton, Ronald D. Reynolds, Jr., Tupelo, MS, and Lin (Todd) Stephens, Gray, TN, four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Young, Jayden Stephens and Steven Baxley, and a niece, Kay Reynolds (Don) Hensley, Gaffney, SC. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church. Interment will take place Monday at Noon in Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaffney, SC.
