Dana Osborne Stowell

N. AUGUSTA - Ms. Dana Rose Osborne Stowell, 45, died Monday, November 30, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend David Holdman and Reverend Bill Waters will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roman Osborne, Jon Osborne, Logan Stowell, Joseph F. Ortaldo, Michael Nagy, Brandon Nagy, Taylor Nagy. Ms. Stowell was born in Simpsonville, SC, a daughter of Rose Mary Bradshaw Ortaldo and the late Henry Lamar Osborne. She had been a resident of the Aiken area since 1976, was a former employee at Thermo Disc and also at Wal Mart. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God and attended South Aiken Church of God where she taught in the Children's Church Ministry and participated in the Cornerstone Youth Choir. In recent years, Dana attended Grace Covenant Church of God. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Joe Ortaldo; a son, Ashley Logan Stowell, Aiken; a sister, Charisse (Michael) Nagy, Aiken; two brothers, Roman (Melissa) Osborne, Aiken, Jon Osborne, Mt. Pleasant, SC; nieces, Traci Boatright and Hannah Osborne; nephews, Brandon Nagy, Taylor Nagy, Christopher Osborne, Ryan Osborne; step sisters, Christina Spaulding, Scottsdale, AZ; Monica (Mike) Parsons, Evans, GA; step brothers, Joe Ortaldo, Aiken, Dr. Stephen (Sarah) Ortaldo, Phoenix, AZ; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Georgia Health Sciences University Foundation (GHSU Foundation), Gift Recieving Office, 919 15th St., Augusta, GA 30912.
