Inez Bridwell Merritt

AIKEN - Mrs. Inez Bridwell Merritt, 83, died December 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Millbrook Baptist Church. Reverends Dr. Eddie Leopard and Dr. Chris Masters will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:30 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC. Honorary pallbearers will be the Jim Langford Sunday School Class and the Essie Osteen Sunday School Class. Mrs. Merritt was born in Greenville County, SC, a daughter of the late Ernest and Annie Lee Moody Bridwell. She was a homemaker and resident of Aiken since 1952. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist church and involved in the WMU. Mrs. Merritt is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry William Merritt; two daughters, Sandra (Dr. Byron) Elmore, Landrum, SC, Joan (George) Woodsby, Modoc, SC; six grandchildren, Dr. Ellen Elmore, Austin, TX, Carl (Line) Elmore, Bergen, Norway, Jeri Lynne Parrott, Aiken, SC, David (Sara) Elmore, Roanoke, VA, Margie (Tim) Metzdorf, Dublin, GA, Jonathan (Brianna) Woodsby, Spartanburg, SC, nine great grandchildren; Katheryn Roemer, Courtney Roemer, Elizabeth Roemer, Julia Parrott, Shayna Metzorf, Lauryn Metzdorf, Dyllan Metzdorf, Matthew Elmore, Bari Ellen Elmore, a sister, Grace Roach, Greenville.
