Aiken- Mrs. Pauline Chew Whitesall, 102, died on Dec. 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 18th at 2 p.m. at Pepper Hill Nursing Center, 3225 Augusta Rd. NW, Aiken, SC with the Rev. Mike Hallman officiating. Internment will be Private at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Whitesall was born in Philadelphia, PA. A daughter of the late Leon and Etta Miller Chew. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard Whitesall, a daughter Arline Denny Hardy and a brother Millard Chew. She is survived by her sister Oleta Clement, Bridgeton, NJ, and a son in law Bill (Joyce) Hardy, Aiken, SC. She was a retired registered nurse at Salem Hospital in New Jersey and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Making Aiken her home in 1976. She had resided at Pepper Hill for the last sixteen years and played the piano for all the services there. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 or Pepper Hill Nursing Center, 3225 Augusta Rd. NW, Aiken, SC 29801.
