AIKEN – Mr. Howard Fletcher Reese, 89, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM Tuesday at Aiken Church of Christ, 134 Rinehart Way, Aiken, SC 29801 with Minister Brian McCutchen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Mr. Reese was born in Monetta, SC, a son of the late Lee and Nova Wood Reese. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken, retired from E.I. DuPont, and was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Reese is survived by his two daughters, Sybil (Mike) Graham, Edgefield, SC, Carolina R. Evans, Aiken; two sons, Johnny (Betty) Reese, Barnwell, SC, Dean (Cheri) Reese, Aiken; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a sister, Annie Ruth Maddox, Columbia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Maudine Widener Reese; two daughters, Jane R. Toole, Sara Elizabeth Reese; two sisters and six brothers.
