AIKEN - Mr. Odell Wilson Eubanks, 86, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Eddie Leopard and the Reverend Dr. Chris Masters officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will then follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be the Ushers of Millbrook Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be the Millbrook Whittlers and the Bill Whalen Sunday School Class Mr. Eubanks was born in Aiken, a son of the late Lonnie A. and Onie Mitchell Eubanks. He served in the US Army during WWII, and retired from Graniteville Company. As a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, he was a Millbrook Whittler, in the Bill Whalen Sunday School Class, was an usher, taught RA's, was a deacon and also a Sunday School Director. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved reading his bible He is survived by his beloved wife who he married 62 years ago on Christmas Eve, Elise Franklin Eubanks; two daughters, Judy (Ronnie) Groomes, Clearwater, SC, Nancy (Marion) Padgett, Aiken; two grandchildren, Jennifer Groomes and Lindsey Padgett; three sisters, Evelyn Herron, Aiken, Lonnell Meredith, Louisville, KY, Elizabeth Macklin, Martinez, GA; two brothers, Ronald Eubanks, Aiken, Ted Eubanks, LaGrange, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe directed to the Millbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 223 South Aiken Blvd, SE, Aiken, SC 29803.
