Albert "Ab" C. Allen

Aiken-Albert Clark "Ab" Allen, 76, died Wednesday December 23, at Aiken Regional. The son to the late Albert Clark, Sr. and Agnes Stackhouse Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Judith Wilder Allen, two sons, Clark (Tricey) Allen, Greenville, SC, and Patrick (Gloria) Allen, Greenville, NC, and four grandchildren, Maggie Allen, Wilder Allen, Jennifer Allen, Matthew Herring. Mr. Allen was born on May 30, 1933, in Wadesboro, NC, moving to Aiken in 1968. He was a graduate of Clemson College, class of 1956, where he served as Taps yearbook editor. Mr. Allen also was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church and a former Senior Warden serving on many committees there. He was a Charter member and past President of the Aiken Sertoma Club, a member of Southern Cross Sertoma Club where he served as treasurer, and worked for over 40 years with Motion Industries in industrial sales. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec., 26 at 3 pm at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with the Rev. Grant Wiseman and Reverend Joseph Whitehurst officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Stevenson McClelland Building.
