Harmon "Bunk" Arthur Lowe

AIKEN, SC – HARMON A. "BUNK" LOWE, 77, beloved husband of Margaret Wilson Lowe, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, SC. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mr. Lowe was a son of the late Arthur Lee and Erma Snellings Lowe. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Harmon retired from Graniteville Co. and Food Lion in New Ellenton. He was a member of Talatha Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife Margaret, include a son, Barry Lowe and his special friend Summer Roe, Aiken, four grandchildren, C. J. Lowe, Nicci Lowe, Stacey Lowe and Skye Scarboro, four great-grandchildren, Brandon Lowe, Charles Allen Lowe, Raelynn Lowe and Jaden Scarboro, four sisters, Nancy Merritt, Augusta, Debbie Parker, Georgia, Mary Schumate, Lexington, KY, and Agnes Creed, Graniteville, SC a half-sister, Dot Coleman, Graniteville, SC, four brothers, Rob Lowe, Graniteville, Tony Lowe, Aiken, Larry Lowe, Belvedere and Dan Lowe, Virginia and a half-brother, Buddy Watson, Colorado. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev.’s David Lester and Kevin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Talatha Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
