Linda Gossett Messick

AIKEN, SC – Linda Gossett Messick, 54, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Southland Memorial Gardens, West Columbia, SC, with Rev. Darrell Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers funeral home. A native of Spartanburg, SC, Ms. Messick was a daughter of Danola Greer Gossett, Lexington, SC and the late Asa Gossett. She was a resident of Aiken for the last 19 years, and worked for Dr. Mark Meiler. She also attended Southwind Fellowship. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Charles (Martha) Messick Jr., Aiken, Mark (Abby) Messick, Graniteville; four grandchildren, Milledge Cooper Messick, Clayton Edward Messick, Ann Alyse Messick, and Aiden Messick; Sister Brenda (Hank) Zoe Poplin, West Columbia; Four brothers Asa Roland (Susan) Gossett, West Columbia, Dennis Gossett, Lexington, SC, Keith Gossett, Lexington, SC, and Kenneth (Susan ) Gossett, Lexington, SC.
