AIKEN, SC- James Russell Legg Sr., 73, beloved husband of Frankie Evelyn Brown Legg, died January 14, 2010 at his residence.
James was a native of Moss, MS, and a son to Lillian Stringer Legg, Aiken, and the late Walter H. Legg. He was an electrician, manager, and owner of Windy Hill Storage and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam war.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Frankie, include two daughters, Debbi Lloyd, North Augusta, SC, and Marie (James) Travis, Sugarland, TX.; two sons, James (Judy) Legg, Lexington, SC, and Gary (Susan) Legg, Katy, TX.; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Lloyd, Melanie Lloyd, James Travis,III, Sydni Travis, Seantelle Travis, Megan Travis, Shawn Foley, Jennifer White, James Thomas Legg, Jessica Legg, and Jordan Legg, and a brother Larry Legg, Duncanville, TX.; a niece, Vikki Wescovich , nephews, Mike McCraw and Jon McCraw.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 18, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with the Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
