NEW ELLENTON, SC -- METRO "ToeToe" G. LYNN, 83, widow of James Leonard Lynn, Jr., died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at her residence. Born and raised in Manassas, GA, Mrs. Lynn was the daughter of the late Emmett and Jesse Davis Griffin, and beloved daughter-in-law of the late James and Arnell Lynn. She moved to New Ellenton in 1953 and was employed by the Savannah River Site. She was involved in New Ellenton Youth Sports, the Jayceettes, was a former cub scout leader, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Larry Lynn, Ricky (Judy) Lynn and Mike (Deanne) Lynn, all of New Ellenton, nine grandchildren, Matt (Christy) Lynn, Abbie (Joe) Smith, Amy Bryant, Jamie (Howard) McDaniel, Ben Lynn, Jessi Lynn, Kris Miller, Jay Lynn and Kaci Lynn, eight great-grandchildren, a brother, Bill Griffin, Biloxi, MS and a sister, Barbara Edwards, Rincon, GA In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with The Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Brittain, Mel Youngblood, Thomas Sapp, Ben Lynn, Jay Lynn and Kris Miller. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to send a special thanks to Ms Charlene Harris, her caregiver.
