C. A. Shahan

AIKEN, SC -- CARL ARLOS SHAHAN, 56, beloved husband of Charmayne Widener Shahan, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Knoxville, TN, C. A. was a son of Eva Hancock Shahan and the late Carl Shahan. He had lived in Aiken County for 20 years and was a member of the Midway Men's Social Hunting Club. He formerly worked with Bechtel at the Savannah River Plant, and had also worked with Columbia Mechanical. He was a project manager for Omni Health and Fitness. C. A. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors, in addition to his wife Charmayne, include two sons; Andy (Andrea) Shahan, Salisbury, NC and Raiford (Megan) Poole, Williston, SC, a daughter, Meagin (Darryl) Poole Warren, Clinton, AR, his mother, Eva Hancock Shahan, Thorn Grove, TN, three grandchildren; Colton Warren, Madalynne Shahan and Hannah Grace Poole and a sister, Diane (Lynne) Brewer, Thorn Grove, TN. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Charmayne Shahan, earmarked for the grandchildren's education fund.
