CHARLESTON, SC - Mrs. Minnie Lee Fox Courtney, 92, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in North Charleston, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave., with Reverend Charles Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Courtney was born in Aiken, a daughter of the late Rufus and Minnie Kirkland Fox. She worked at the Graniteville Company, Graniteville, SC, for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Vivian (Edward) Stokes, Charleston; two grandchildren, Edwina Seyle and Eddie Stokes, Charleston; five great grandchildren, Heather Lynn Putney, William Edward Seyle, Madalyn Stokes, Vivian Seyle, Wes Stokes; great great grandchild, Elizabeth Grace Putney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Courtney; two sons, Brunson Fox and O'Neal Courtney; two sisters, Bertha Shepard, Retha Hall; a brother, Harry Fox.
