DREW ALLEN AIKEN, SC -- DOUGLAS DREW ALLEN, 20, tragically entered into rest Sunday, April 18, 2010 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born on September 17, 1989 in Aiken, SC, Drew was a son of Phyliss McLane Allen and Quince "Buddy" Allen III. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken and was a graduate of Silver Bluff High School, Class of 2007. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Drew was known as a very likeable young man, who never met a stranger. Survivors include his mother, Phyliss of Montmorenci and father, Buddy of New Ellenton, his daughter Genesis Marie, a brother, Quince Ryan Allen IV of Columbia, his maternal grandfather, Douglas Lee McLane of Aiken and a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and an extended family of friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Gentry McLane and his paternal grandparents, Quince and Evelyn Moses Allen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Roehrs officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Snead, Justin Barklage, Jeff Cornwell, Chase Bouknight, Vernon Holmes, Gary Strickland, Kyle McLane and Carl Culpepper. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may call at other times at the residence of Drew's grandfather, Douglas McLane in Talatha Gardens.
