AIKEN – James Troy Crawford, 31, loving husband of Amy McFee Crawford, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday at Cedar Creek Church with the Reverend Richard Swift officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tavis Whitson, Baron Bowers, Brett Crawford, Blake Bowers, Bradley Crawford, Trent Whitson, Hank Spivey and Chad Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be the New Ellenton Volunteer Fire Department.
Troy was born in Augusta, the son of Jamie (Jaime Nichole) William Crawford, New Ellenton and Sherrie L. Beam Harman, Aiken. He was a lifelong resident of New Ellenton and a graduate of Silver Bluff High School. He was a member of Cedar Creek Church, and was a former Lt. of the New Ellenton Volunteer Fire Department. He received two life saving awards (2007, 2008) and was the 2006 Fireman of the Year. He also coached New Ellenton Youth Sports.
IN addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his three sons, Seth, Collin and Hunter Crawford; Maternal grandparents, Patricia and Clarence Beam, Aiken; paternal grandmother, Beverly Park Crawford, New Ellenton; sister, Tiffany Crawford Pruitt, Aiken; step sister, Harley Whittle, New Ellenton; step brother, Ben Whittle, New Ellenton; nephew, Cameron Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wylie Gene Crawford.
