Aiken-Wilma Ruth Stevens, 90, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Pm Friday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the reverend Chuck Kerner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ryan Stevens, Alan Stevens, Tommy Shapiro, Gordon Butler, Philip Lyell, Tracy Riley. Mrs. Stevens was born in Lillington, NC, a daughter of the late James and Ester Wilburn. She moved to Aiken in 1953, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Becky S. (Donald) Lyell, Dillon, SC; three sons, Charles P. Stevens, Panama City Beach, FL, Jerry T. (Juanda) Stevens, Gaffney, SC, Ray N. (Janice) Stevens, Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Michael K. Lyell, Ryan Stevens, Alan (Ellen) Stevens, Leah Stevens, Amanda Stevens; great grandchild, Autumn Lyell.; two sisters, Pauline Pena, Fayetteville, NC, Jean Holmes, Charleston, SC; a brother, Robert (Juanita) Wilburn, Parkton, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Paul "J.P." Stevens; a grandchild, Wayne Lyell; two sisters, Gertrude Beard and Isabele Gregory; three brothers, James, Wade and Billy Wilburn.
