Sara J. Cashman

Aiken, SC-Sara Jane Hartley Cashman, 91, died on May 9, 2010, at Shadow Oaks. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown, W. VA. She was born in Morgantown, W. VA., on February 22, 1919 and had been an Aiken resident for the past 29 years. She was homemaker who enjoyed cooking, quilting and many types of arts and crafts. Mrs. Cashman was preceded in death by her husband Harold Cashman and her parents Samuel Hartley and Essie Armstrong Hartley. She is survived by a daughter Rebecca Cashman (William) Wingard, Sewickley, PA, a son David Cashman, Providence, R. I., a granddaughter Eleanor Verkuylen, a great granddaughter Ruby Verkuylen, a sister, Mary Wyland, Aiken, SC, and a brother, Keneth Hartley, Orange, TX.
