William Arthur Biebel

Aiken--Mr. William Arthur Biebel, 91, died Wednesday, May 12. A private Memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, at 1:30 P.M. at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Biebel was born in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late William Fredrick and Grace Southerland Biebel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Johnson Biebel He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater. He was a retired owner of BCS Corporation in Thompson, CT. He enjoyed sailing and playing bridge. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Sherman, Charleston, SC and a son, Bob (Pat) Biebel, Aiken S.C., grandchildren, Heather (William) Montgomery, III, Heidi (Frank) Ejma, Peter ( Jenny) Sherman, Robert ( Andrea) Sherman; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Grace Wyatt, Bridgeport, CT. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to United Hospice, 211 York St., Aiken, SC 29801.
