John Arch Boyle

Aiken, SC - Mr. John Arch Boyle, 77, of Aiken died May 14, 2010. A Christian wake will be celebrated Sunday, May 16 at 7 PM at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 2 PM. at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James L. LeBlanc celebrant. Final prayers and commendations will follow at Sunset Memory Mausoleum. Mr. Boyle was born in Nashville, TN. to the late Patrick Boyle and Tommie Webber Boyle. He was Navy Veteran of the Korean war. He retired from Dupont-SRP as a Lab Analyst and was previously active in American Legion and Dixie Youth Baseball. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fiske Boyle, and a son, J. Michael Boyle. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Marie (Roy) Buckler, Mechanicsville, MD., two sons, Kenneth M. (Frances) Boyle, Aiken, S.C., and Charles M. Boyle, Langley, S.C. Six grandchildren, Tracy Coakley, Matthew Boyle, Tessa Boyle, Charles M. Boyle, II, Michael Boyle, and Geoffrey Buckler, and four great grandchildren, Chase Coakley, Rachel Coakley, Adyson Abbey and Charles M. Boyle, III. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, 219 York St., Aiken, SC 29801.
