August 13, 1932 — June 8, 2010

AIKEN, SC -- RONALD LESLIE FRONTROTH, 77, beloved husband of Leona Volk Frontroth, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Uni-Health Aiken. Born in Cleveland, OH, Mr. Frontroth was a son of the late Henry John and Hazel Kunkle Frontroth. He was a graduate of Case-Western Reserve and The University of South Carolina. Mr. Frontroth was an engineer at Savannah Rivers Site, and retired from DuPont and Westinghouse. He was Past President of the Southern Metals Conference. He had lived in Aiken since 1954 and was past scout leader of Troop 146. He was also a former Cub Scout leader and Explorer Scout leader, and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife Leona, include two sons; Stuart (Kathy) Frontroth, Taylors, SC and Brion (Kelly) Frontroth, Aiken, SC, three grandchildren; Victor Frontroth, Michelle (Josh) Bishop and Natalie (Landon) Stokes, two great-grandchildren, Peyton Stokes and Zoe Bishop, a sister, Arlene (Mickey) Sego, Williamsburg, VA and a brother, Donald (Joan) Frontroth, Seneca, SC. A memorial service will be held Friday at Noon at South Aiken Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Christopher Crotwell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Private interment will be in Graniteville Cemetery, prior to the memorial service.
