Ruby Clarke Beck

AIKEN, SC -- RUBY CLARKE BECK, 83, beloved wife of Calvin Leroy Beck, Sr., died, Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her residence. A native of Blythe, GA, Mrs. Beck was a daughter of the late John Bush and Lizzie Williamson Clarke. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had lived in Aiken for the last 45 years. Ruby was a retired teller with Security Federal Bank. She was a member of Montmorenci First Baptist Church, and was a former Sunday School Teacher. Survivors, in addition to her beloved husband Calvin, include two sons; Calvin (Sharon) Beck, Jr., Marietta, GA and Louie Duane (Evelyn) Beck, Trenton, SC, seven grandchildren; Tammi Beck Frye, Shanna Beck Dover, Kristy Beck Royer, Heath David Beck, Kevin Duane Beck, Kaylee Lauren Beck, and Kara Allison Beck, four great-grandchildren; John Calvin Frye, Shawn Dover, Ashley Dover and Sydney Frye, a sister, Helen C. Kennedy, Augusta, GA and three brothers; Eben Clarke, Waynesboro, GA, Hamond Clarke, Hephzibah, GA and Graham Clarke, Martinez, GA. Preceding her in death were an infant son, three sisters; Mary Bates, Louise Anderson and Gladys Clarke and two brothers; Milton Clarke and J. B. Clarke. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Brenda Gray and Marie Kneece. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, with The Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ted Montgomery, Leck Montgomery, Tommy Brickle, Ronnie Nash, Hank Clarke and Carl Clarke. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Earl Gray, Richard Harmon, John Byers, Wallace Byers, Wyman Inabinet, Dan Redd and Basil Phillips.
