Linda Golden Bancroft

Aiken-Linda Golden Bernell Bancroft, 59, loving wife of Benjamin Bancroft died on July 5. Linda was born in Augusta, GA, to the late Joel M. Golden, Sr. and Nelle Bussey Golden. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a beautician, owned and operated Linda's Salon and was of the Baptist faith. She is predeceased by a daughter Kimberly DeAnn Barlow, and a brother Joel M. Golden, Jr. Survivors in addition to her husband include a son David Clinton (Kim) Boothe, Aiken, two grandchildren Lindsey and Chad Boothe, a sister Debra Ann Gregory, Aiken, two brothers Jarome Milton Golden, New Ellenton, and Michael Golden, Aiken. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, at 11:00 am at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Davis Barton officating. Internment will be private.
