Mamie Ruth Roberts Brock

NEW ELLENTON, SC – Mrs. Mamie Ruth Roberts Brock, 78, died Sunday, July 18, 2010. Graveside funeral serves will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Kirby Bunton officiating. Mrs. Brock was born in Kershaw, SC., a daughter of the late Roy and Mamie Baker Roberts. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, a member of Corinth Baptist Church, and was a former secretary and member of the New Ellenton Riding Club with her late husband, P.A. Brock, Jr. She also worked in the lab for E.I. DuPont before retiring. Mrs. Brock is survived by her two sons, Marshall Brock, New Ellenton, and Jeff Brock, Windsor; three grandchildren, Jason (Missy) Brock, Brandee Brock, Sunny Brock; three great grandchildren, Tanner and Reagan Brock, A.J. Peavey; four brothers, R.D. Roberts, Chesapeake, VA, Robert (Cecile) Roberts, Kershaw, SC, Hubert Baker, Camp Springs, MD; Tommy Byrd, CA. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Brock, a great grandchild, McKenna Brock, two brothers, Edward and Vernon Roberts.
