AIKEN, SC -- LOUISE EMENEKER WIDENER, 87, widow of Artis T. Widener, entered into rest Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Widener was a daughter of the late Hugo V. and Pearl Harmon Emeneker. She was a life long resident of Aiken County, and was first married to the late Haskell Nunn. She retired from Carolina Eastern Fertilizer Company. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and the Sonshine Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Widener was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and next to God, her family came first. She was affectionately known as Mimi by her grandchildren and as Nana by her extended family. She loved her church family.
Survivors include daughters, Martha N. (Gene) Bonnett, Jill N. (Donny) Graves, son, Dean (Brenda) Nunn all of Aiken, four grandchildren, Stacy (Bill Moseley) Nunn, Travis (Leslie) Nunn, Katie Graves and Emily Graves, a sister, Florence (Ernest) Busbee of Aiken and her special friend, Jeri Cox.
Mrs. Widener knows her family will always hold her in their heart's with rich memories that will never leave them. Her memory however, will be a source of strength and peace to all those she left behind. She was an individual who never met a stranger, with her out-going personality and knack to start a conversation. A piece of our heart is gone...never to be replaced. May God smile on our mother and hold her closely.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Udani and the nursing staff at Aiken Regional Medical Centers for their special care.
