Kevin Harold Eberhard

Mr. Kevin Harold Eberhard, 48, passed away Wednesday July 21 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Interment will be private. Kevin is survived by his parents Bruce and Maxine Eberhard and his brother and family, Brian and Elizabeth (Fabrick) Eberhard and their daughters Annalise and Christina. Kevin was a maintenance mechanic at SRS for 20 years and was a machinist apprentice prior to employment by SRS. Kevin devoted much of his spare time to voluntary archeological work at SRS under the auspices of the University of South Carolina Archeological Group. In the late 1980’s he was named “South Carolina Archeologist of the Year”. He was also an avid researcher of genealogy and was well versed on the sites and history of Hitchcock Woods in Aiken.
