AIKEN, SC -- GERMAINE FRANCES FERENCHIK, 70, beloved wife of Alan Ferenchik, died Friday, August 6, 2010 on her 70th birthday, in Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Ferenchik was a daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Valerie Smith Habart. She was a retired registered nurse. Mrs. Ferenchik and her husband moved to Aiken 7 years ago from Pittsburgh, PA. In Aiken, she was a member and former secretary of the Cedar Creek Women's Club and was a member of the Aiken Newcomers Club. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother . Survivors, in addition to her husband Alan, include three sons; Mark (Diane) Ferenchik, Hilliard, OH, Kevin (Daphne) Ferenchik, Pittsburgh, PA and Tim (Andrea) Ferenchik, Cumming, GA, five grandchildren; Brian and Karen Ferenchik, Gabriella Ferenchik and Haylee and Cameron Ferenchik, and a brother, Larry (Monica) Habart, Las Vegas, NV. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Aiken County Hospital Auxiliary and Cedar Creek Womens Club. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.
