AIKEN, SC- MRS. REBECCA ADALINE BALLARD "BECKY" HARDT, 86, died August 20 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 24 at South Aiken Presbyterian Church with the Rev Christopher Crotwell officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service. She was born in Worcester, MA to the late William Henry and Louise Crouse Ballard. She had lived in Aiken since 1952, coming from Elizabeth, NJ. She was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Harold Hardt preceded her in death. She was a resident of Shadow Oaks and most recently Pepper Hill. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Hardt (Clarence "Rosco") Pund, Seneca, SC and son, Robert E. (Victoria) Hardt, Aiken; four grandchildren, Chad (Alecia) Hardt, Courtney Pund, Brodie Pund, Drew Pund; two great grandchildren, William August Hardt and Maecy Rebecca Hardt. The family would like to thank Shadow Oaks and Pepper Hill for all their love and support.
