Barbara Putnam Kinard

AIKEN, SC -- BARBARA JEAN PUTNAM KINARD, 74, widow of Billy F. Kinard, died Monday, August 31, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Laurens, SC, Barbara was a daughter of the late Rev. Samuel F. and Anice McPhearson Putnam. She was a retired certified nurse assistant and was a member of First Assembly of God of North Aiken. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy K. Lewis, a son, Phillip L. Kinard, both of Aiken, a daughter-in-law, Wendy Lee Kinard, Windsor, five grandchildren; James C. Gunter, Jr., Phillip Lee Kinard, Jr., Wesley Robert Kinard, Brandon Lee Kinard and Samantha Lee Kinard, a great-granddaughter, Alexia Lachelle Gunter and a brother, Samuel F. Putnam, Jr. of Aiken. Preceding Barbara in death were her granddaughters; Sandra Renee Gunter and Angela Nell Gunter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in Laurens City Cemetery in Laurens, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Helping Hands, Inc., P.O.
