Robert Carrol Ellison

New Ellenton - Mr. Robert Carrol Ellison, 58, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Charles Morris and the Reverend Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Mr. Ellison's empire. Pallbearers will be C.J. Holtsizer, Adam Ellison, Eric Ellison, Eric Owen, Alan Owen, Steven McVey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Atomic City Cruisers. Mr. Ellison was born in Carter County, TN, a son of the late Ora and Eunice Messer Ellison. He moved to the Aiken area in 1972. He was a maintenance and water supervisor for the town of Jackson, a charter member of the Atomic City Cruisers, received the 2009 SC Water Operator of the Year award, was a member of the National Street Rod Association, and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Venita Maudine Owen Ellison; a daughter, Amber Ellison Pardue, New Ellenton; a son, Cody Ellison, New Ellenton; three grandchildren, Ashley and C.J. Holtsizer, Rylie Pardue; two brothers, Nathan Ellison, Talatha, SC, Roger Ellison, Hampton, TN.
